This tool does NOT fit every toilet seat nut. Please understand your nut size before purchasing. Tighten or loosen toilet seat nuts by inserting tool over toilet seat nut allowing the threaded shaft to enter tube from bottom turning clockwise to tighten counter-clockwise direction to loosen. It is so simple. Tighten or loosen battery terminals on your auto. You will be glad you have one. Janitorial use is big. This tool does not fit every nut. please check your nuts first. Many nuts have been eaten away and the nut size is destroyed. This tool is not designed to accept SAE or Metric nut sizes. It is specifically designed to fit original, equipped toilet seat assemblies which include the following toilet seat nuts; 1) 9/16 square brass nut with 5/16 height ears. 2) 15/16 diameter at bottom plastic, at top 5/8 with ears at top 7/8. the first time you may have to remove them the old way. The new ones will go on with the tool and now in the future, you will possibly use 9/16. I went to the hardware store and matched up new ones. There are many. 1/2, 5/8 9/16 .Features:
