The Precision Brand smooth band metric worm gear clamp has a stainless steel band and housing, and a plated steel screw, and is appropriate for use in critical hose connections. A worm gear mechanism adjusts the clamp’s diameter to precisely apply sealing pressure. The 9 mm band has a smooth form that helps provide even pressure around the hose, and an efficient seal at low torque. The pressed, non-perforated worm drive teeth and rounded, raised band edges help prevent damage to the hose. The band, housing and screw are made of stainless steel that conforms to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) 400 series standard and provides resistance to corrosion wear. The slotted, 6mm hex-head screw allows installation using a blade screwdriver, nut driver, or socket wrench. The screw is made of carbon steel that is zinc-plated for resistance to rust.
