Every component in the Nautic subs has been rigorously tested to resist the environment of fresh and salt water, including air exposure which can lead to rust. The surrounds, cones and terminals are all treated to resist the harsh marine environment. Nautic subwoofers are engineered for free air (no box) applications such as the bench seat or hull. Or, they will also perform flawlessly in sealed enclosures.
