Help Prevent Mold and Mildew with a Drywave 1000 Air Dryer

Mold and mildew can be a common occurrence in parts of the country during the cooler months. The air is cool and damp, the dew point is low, and moisture tends to condensate on surfaces as a breeding ground for mold. The DryWave counteracts this effect by gently warming the air and increasing the dew point, thereby preventing the condensation that leads to mold. The DryWave has no moving parts but instead works through convection heating, drawing cooler air through the bottom of the unit and emitting warm air through the top of the unit. For spaces up to 1,000 cubic feet, the DryWave 1000 is ideal for boats, RVs, cabins and small rooms.

Where and When the DryWave is Effective

The DryWave 1000 air dryer works best in cool moist climates, like the Pacific Northwest and coastal regions, when the temperature range is above freezing (32 degrees Fahrenheit) and below 68 degrees. The DryWave is not recommended for temperatures above 75 degrees. While areas like the Gulf coast and Florida frequently have problems with mold, even in the summer, the warmer temperatures tend to mitigate the preventative effects of convection heating. The DryWave plugs into a standard 120 volt outlet and is designed to operate 24 hours per day. The unit draws no more power than a standard light bulb and includes an automatic shut off switch if its temperature moves above the standard operating range. Fall, winter and spring are ideal months for the DryWave Air Dryer. The DryWave is an air dryer, not a heater.

Safety Tips for Using the DryWave 1000

  • The DryWave requires clear air flow around the unit. Position the unit on a level surface at least 24 inches from objects or walls on the sides or above the unit.
  • Do not use on blankets or long carpets that may restrict airflow.
  • Never attempt to disassemble the DryWave Unit.
  • Features:

    • Uses convection heating to gently warm the air and raise the dewpoint to prevent mold and mildew; ideal for boats, RVs, cabins, basements, trailers, walk-in closets, and other enclosed spaces up to 1000 cubic feet
    • Has no fan or moving parts; designed to operate 24 hours a day for extended periods; includes a thermal shut off switch to prevent overheating, with automatic restart when the unit cools down
    • Plugs into a 120-volt outlet and draws no more power than a standard light bulb; does not require refilling like chemical dehumidifiers, or emptying like traditional dehumidifiers
    • Works by raising the air temperature and is designed for cool, moist climates; most efficient in temperatures between 32 and 65 Fahrenheit; not intended for warm, humid environments like Florida or Hawaii
    • For use in spaces up to 1,000 cubic feet; DryWave measures 13.5" L x 10.5" W x 4" H; Made in the USA
